My uncle has worked at the Orem public library for more than 40 years. It’s a job he absolutely loved from an early age. Volunteering his skills and time with crafts, art, programs, puppeteering, entertaining and so much more. I remember him doing puppet shows, getting me my first library card and instilling in me such a responsibility as borrowing precious property and returning it in a timely manor and he has done this for countless other children over more than four decades. It’s the end of an era and a bit sad to see his demeanor as he is sort of pushed out the door of this place he pretty much called home for so long. But he has made many friends and influenced many for good. Now I think it’s time for Disneyland more often for my uncle!
